The area near Scalinata and Piazza di Spagna is the main tourist centre. Here are some luxurious, small hotels. Similar lodgings exist everywhere in the centre, west of Via del Corso. Although low-budget hotels are rare in the centre, you should not overlook the advantages of staying near many of Rome’s ancient places of interest. Other areas, where someone can reside, are Borgo near the Vatican or the live district of Trastevere. Those who seek luxury can go towards the Via Veneto, where there are many magnificent de luxe hotels. If you seek tranquility, you can opt for the lodgings around the Aventin Hill or for one of the stylish hotels beside the park of Villa Borghese.
